Anthoor Municipality

Vayo Club Inauguration: 01/10/2026

As part of transforming Anthoor Municipality into a completely elderly-friendly municipality, a project was formulated in the 2026-27 annual plan to make Vayo Clubs operational by selecting 3 centers within the municipality limits. The project aims to relieve the loneliness and mental stress experienced by senior citizens, creating an environment for them to renew friendships and gather together happily.
In accordance with the guidelines in G.O. (Ms) No. 84/2022/LSGD dated 19/04/2022, the municipal council decided to convert AKG Vayanasala Thaliyil, Morazha Gramina Vayanasala, and CRC Kadamberi into Vayo Clubs, and preliminary discussions were initiated.
On 10.09.26, a meeting of the office bearers of the above centers was held under the chairmanship of the Municipal Chairperson, and steps were initiated to streamline the functioning of the Vayo Clubs.
An amount of ₹2,50,000/- has been allocated for the Vayo Clubs in the 2026-27 annual plan. This amount will be utilized to purchase necessary furniture, recreational items, and other essential materials for the Vayo Clubs.
